Douglas G. Price Named Special Agent in Charge of Phoenix Division

Director Robert S. Mueller, III has named Douglas G. Price special agent in charge of the FBI’s Phoenix Division. Mr. Price most recently served as chief of the Employee Development and Selection Program Section in the Human Resources Division at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. In this role, he oversaw all senior executive service appraisals and recognition programs, special agent promotion processes, employee transfers, and employee career development.

Mr. Price began his career as a special agent with the FBI in January 1996. He first reported to the Las Cruces Resident Agency out of the Albuquerque Division, where he worked all criminal programs and was a member of SWAT and the Southern New Mexico Gang Task Force.

In March 1999, Mr. Price transferred to the Los Angeles Division to serve on the Violent Crime and Major Offenders-Cargo Theft Task Force. He was also a team leader for the Los Angeles Rapid Deployment Team. While there, Mr. Price was deployed on various temporary duty assignments, such as the Investigative Team at the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, logistics and investigations in Baghdad, and the Logistics Team at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece. In 2004, Mr. Price joined the Joint Terrorism Task Force Counterterrorism Threat Squad. He was promoted in February 2006 to supervisor of a Counterterrorism Squad and program coordinator for Domestic Terrorism and International Terrorism.

In February 2008, Mr. Price was selected as a team leader assistant inspector in the Inspection Division at FBI Headquarters. Mr. Price was promoted in September 2009 to assistant special agent in charge in the Los Angeles Criminal Division, which included the Civil Rights, Organized Crime, and Violent Crime Programs.

Prior to joining the FBI, Mr. Price worked for National Medical Enterprises Incorporated, Towers Perrin Consulting, and Nestle USA.
